A place to post and discuss "random" Connexions thoughts and suggestions. As these thoughts roll in, we will categorize them. This main page can be used for discussion aout the project and as an "inbox" for ideas. These ideas can be simple, or pie-in-the sky. Anything goes, here.

we should figure out what connexions has to "be" in order to get the cnx.edu and connexions.edu domains. i have see so many other pseudo-educational institutions get that domain. i think we just need to convinve the powers that be that a .edu is more appropriate for us than a .org. certainly if we spin off a foundation we will be able to get this, but maybe sooner. any idea who to ask about this? (richb)

we need to look into some other editors that could be useful for authors. eg: burrus's HTML editor that can apparently handle XML just fine. and if we want people to use emacs then we really need to SUPPORT it on our web site (ie: how to install, point to tutorials, etc.) (rgb)

we must educate people on our use of Mozilla, since we are using it more as a CROSS PLATFORM USER INTERFACE to our content commons than as a WEB BROWSER. (CMU guys via rgb)

would be nice for the EDIT IN PLACE to be able to also edit the meta data. eg: a link to click on when in edit in place that says "edit meta data" and opens up even another window or web form that lets you do it. at the bare minimum, it would be nice to edit the summary. (rgb and donj)
