Welcome!

This page has been created to organize and collaborate ideas for creating VIs? and applets for Elec Courses.

The IdeaPage has a list of planned and in-progress VIs.

The FallPage has info for Mariyah regarding VIs? that have not been added to modules.

The BrainStormPage is for brainstorming ideas that will hopefully translate into useful VIs.

I have created and am working on the following VIs?: An illustration of phase shift, time delay, and their relation A demonstration of convolution that illustrates the "flip and shift" and "multiply" steps A demo that shows a non-linear system, a time-variant system, and an LTI system and allows the user to see the output change with the input. An AM transmission/reception demo, which shows the magnitude of the signals spectrum at various points in the process (pre-modulation, post-modulation, reception, etc.). A tool that allows the user to manipulate the magnitude and phase of a few sinusoids and observe resulting combined signal. This lets students understand how sinusoids can be used to reconstruct arbitrary periodic signals.

I am working on VIs? for Complex numbers and exponentials. For complex numbers the user should be able to input either cartesian or polar coordinates and obtain the complex number in the alternate form. I am trying to get a graph that shows the complex plain and the geometry involved in the conversion.

I have added, on the Idea Page, links to applets we might want to take a look at

prash, 2003/06/20 15:34 CST (via web):
I don't see the links on the IdeaPage. Did the change not get committed?

mariyah, 2003/06/23 08:13 CST (via web):
The links are there now

prash, 2003/06/23 09:29 CST (via web):
I've added a link to the convolution VI that I made. I'll probably add some more links soon. Feedback is welcome.

prash, 2003/06/23 17:08 CST (via web):
There are now links for most of the VIs I've worked on.
