This document describes the high-level architecture of the Rhaptos system used for Connexions without getting into implementation details. Rhaptos is divided into four components:
- Content
- The types of content published and managed in Connexions
- Repository
- Provides storage, versioning and access to Connexions content
- Editing environment
- A web portal for the collaborative creation and management of materials
- Viewing/Navigation
- Tools for viewing and navigating repository content
