Adding Subjects to Modules Adding Subjects to Modules

The guidelines I'm using when I mark subjects on modules.

Yesterday evening I began work on marking modules with subjects. Jenn was kind enough to generate an excel file with information on all the modules that were currently in the repository, including moduleID, title, and authors.

As I go through the modules, I am only looking at the latest version of the module.

The modules will be marked using the OER standard of categorization , with a little specific help from Wikipedia in categorization, using multiple subjects for one modules where applicable. Also, there is an additional category of Test, that will contain blank modules and Connexions test modules.

I am keeping in mind certain exceptions mentioned in the wikipedia entry on Social Sciences.

As I talk to Jenn and Ross, who marked the subjects on courses, I will revise this categorization, but for now, this is what I'm using!

Edit: I've added further categorization details consistant with the OER Categories ; if you don't see the details immediately on their webpage, click the "show/hide description" box.
