Jared Spool gave a very quick rundown of things he thought were required of good organizations. By implication such organizations are more likely to get the user experience done well also.
- Good communication throughout the organization
- Clear vision and everyone knows the vision and buys into the vision.
- The right people – they get the vision, they respect the mission.
- A tight feedback loop (information from customers) with fast iterations.
- Redesigns approached in small increments (as small as possible, but no smaller)
- Everybody involved cares about good user experience – design happens everywhere.
