Not my idea, but I thought I'd note this so it doesn't get lost.
Chuck suggests:
For all personal and team postings on rhaptos.org, we really need
four states:
public: accessible to all, and appears in news/blog listings and
search results
visible: accessible to all, but doesn't appear in news/blog listings
or search results; can only be found if you already know
about it (pretty much the current 'visible', right?)
internal: accessible only to folks with rhaptos.org logins; shows up
in news/blog listings and search results only for users
logged in wth rhaptos.org logins
private: accessible only to creator/owner
I'll note that it's actually not that hard to set up this sort of thing, though we have to be a little careful about existing content states.
