Connexions has slipped a fair bit into the Plone core. Now we have more!
A while back, I created the groups tools for Plone, including the group workspaces architecture. We put that in the Plone core, and it's been shipping ever since.

In a separate instance, we wanted to store password encrypted but still allow users to reset them. So I created the PasswordResetTool, which was later included in Plone.

Take a look at: https://svn.plone.org/svn/plone/bundles/3.0/EXTERNALS.txt

See anything else of ours? If you look carefully, you'll see CMFDiffTool. This was created by Brent for our "suggested edits" functionality and has also taken on a life of its own. It is used for the new versioning functionality in Plone, through CMFEditions.

I will note that all of these do not, and never did, live in our SVN repository, but in the Plone community one, where there's some exposure and a low barrier to fixes.
