Collections have types like "Course", "Textbook", and "Manual"; the components of a collection (subcollections and modules) should also have appropriate types, like "Introduction" and "Chapter".

We are in the process of redesigning our XML structure for representing collections of modules. One requirement is a version number that expresses changes in the content of the collection, as well as changes in the structure of the collection.
