Status report for Thursday meeting
This week worked on user support and on coming up to speed with the technologies I will need for creating a RelaxNG scheme for CNXML 0.6.
Yesterday, Brent and I visited Paul Padley (Physics), who is interested again in contributing content to Connexions. He is creating his course webpages by using a software tool called Scientific Workplace to take his LATex and convert it to XHTML with Presentation MathML embedded. The tool is expensive, but it has some promise as a way to ease the transition from LATex to CNXML for authors. Paul was suitably impressed with Brent's SAX/XSLT/sed pipeline for converting the Scientific-Workplace-generated XHTML to CNXML.
